Murals

I have had the privilege to be apart of some special murals. In July I worked along side Ngarrumban Murrdi (Dook) which we created a mural showcasing 2022 NAIDOC theme: Get up, Stand up, Show up. I enjoyed working with Dook as he shared so many skills and knowledge with me. While creating the mural we also did a workshop with the senior student who got to contribute to the mural. It was a special moment for me as I graduated from Wilsonton State High School in 2020 and coming back to share my skills with the younger generation was very remarkable. I learnt so much from this experience and can't wait to see what the future has in store. 

In September Dook had asked me to help with another mural. Only this time it was so much bigger. It was amazing to paint a mural on a wall this big. You don't realise how hard it is to paint on a brick wall until you're doing it. Below is a photo of this amazing wall we did at Wilsonton State School.
